Stability is key to build nurturing relationships between children and staff and to make the children feel part of the tribe
- Elisabeth, Teacher
Our team
We have a highly trained and dedicated team. We see our role as enabling young children to develop trust in themselves and others. So, stability is essential in order to build these nurturing and caring relationships between children and staff and between the children themselves.

Martine
Deputy Head Teacher
I moved from Norway and started working in The Norwegian Kindergarten in September 2023. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Queen Maud University College of Early Childhood Education and went to Norwegian University of Science and Technology for my masters where I studied Education and Upbringing.
I am naturally a curious person, and exploring new countries, cities and areas is something I enjoy. I bring my curiosity into the kindergarten, and I enjoy encouraging the children’s creativity by incorporating their interest into arts, crafts, and conversations - allowing their passions to shape engaging and meaningful experiences.
I strive to be a comforting presence for the children in our kindergarten, prioritising their sense of safety and well-being, and fostering an environment where they feel secure and supported.
Agnes
Classroom Leader
I made my move from Norway to England to do a BA in Early Childhood Studies in September 2020 and started working in the Norwegian Kindergarten in London 2022. I have experience with working in both mainstream and Montessori kindergartens in Norway and have expanded my experience by working with children (and adolescents) with special needs and/or disabilities during my time in England.
I’m passionate about making my teaching accessible for all children’s individual needs and ways of development, and I’m a firm believer of learning through play! I have a background and love of drama and theatre and use this in my everyday interactions and play with the children. I believe the most important work I do is to make the children in our kindergarten feel cared for, and like they’re an invaluable part of the classroom.
Elisabeth
Teacher
Hello, I'm Elisabeth, and I'm a primary teacher from Norway. I've proudly served as a dedicated member of the Norwegian Kindergarten team for six years. I also hold an early year’s education degree from Montessori Centre International in London. Recently, I completed further studies with a degree in "Videreutdanning: Norsk 1 for 1.-7. trinn", enhancing my expertise in Norwegian language education.
I am responsible for the preschool group where we focus on play-based learning activities that prepare the children for school. At our kindergarten, we prioritize recognizing and nurturing each child's unique abilities. We are committed to observing and supporting children with diverse needs, ensuring they are well-prepared for both the British and Norwegian school systems.
In addition to my role at the kindergarten, I manage my own Instagram account where I share our activities and connect with educators worldwide. I am particularly passionate about creative projects and integrating nature into learning experiences. One of my favourite spots is Wimbledon Common, where I love exploring trees and encountering the delightful Wombles.
